Akihiro Asai, MD, PhD

Description

Dr. Asai is a pediatric hepatologist who joined the Akron Children’s gastroenterology department in 2023. He obtained his PhD at The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan and his medical degree from Nagoya University School of Medicine, Nagoya, Japan. He completed a pediatric residency at NY Presbyterian/Columbia University, NY, NY and a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Lurie Children’s Hospital/Northwestern University, Chicago, Ill. He is certified in general pediatrics with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
